The main "doctor version" poster featuring actor Kim Ji-won’s striking visual transformation has been revealed.
SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia" (written by Pyun Sung-geun, directed by Lee Jung-rim), set to premiere on Friday, October 9, at 9:50 PM, has released its main doctor version poster, previewing a powerful transformation for lead actor Kim Ji-won.
"Doctor X" is a refreshing medical noir depicting the activities of Gye Su-jeong (played by Kim Ji-won), a "crazy fox of the operating room" who shatters massive absurdities with uncompromised, genius surgical skills. It is the first medical genre project presented by the "SBS Cider Universe," which has driven box office success with hits such as "Taxi Driver," "The Fiery Priest," and "The Judge from Hell."
In the poster released on the 18th, Kim Ji-won gazes steadily into the camera with an unshakeable, expressionless face while wearing a doctor's gown stained with blood. While the contrast between the pristine white gown and the vivid surgical traces commands attention, her gaze filled with absolute surgical conviction and determination heralds the birth of an unprecedented character.
In the drama, Kim Ji-won is set to engulf the "white mafia" of Guseo University Hospital, who pursue power and profit with god-like surgical skills. In addition, a powerhouse lineup of veteran actors including Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, and Kim Woo-seok is set to join, further heightening anticipation.
The production team shared, "This doctor version main poster captures the presence of Gye Su-jeong, a dark hero genius doctor who instantly overwhelms the space of the operating room. Please look forward to what path Gye Su-jeong, who will stand against the power of the Guseo University 'white mafia' with overwhelming surgical skills alone, will take in 'Doctor X,' and witness the birth of an unprecedented doctor who does not compromise within any mold."
"Doctor X," which continues the lineage of SBS's refreshing genre dramas, will premiere on Friday, October 9, at 9:50 PM.
