Yongsan District in Seoul announced that it will hold a public inspection of the designation of the maintenance zone and the determination plan for the reconstruction of Namsan Daelim Apartment located around 729 Itaewon-dong until October 19th.
The maintenance plan includes an integrated development blueprint that incorporates a plot along Noksapyeong-daero adjacent to the complex, which is owned by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation.
Through this, the streetscape will be improved, and the landscape and pedestrian systems connected with Namsan will be strengthened.
According to the plan, the site will be reconstructed into a 630-household complex on a 39,944.1-square-meter plot.
View corridors toward Namsan will be secured to improve spatial openness and views, while pedestrian pathways connecting the inside and outside of the complex will be established to enhance walking convenience and accessibility.
To secure public benefits, building lines will be set from Noksapyeong-daero and the adjacent site boundaries to secure frontal space, which will be developed as a sidewalk-attached frontage space to improve pedestrian connectivity with the surrounding area.
Plans for public contributions, such as donating an underground public parking lot, were also reflected.
In connection with this, the district plans to hold a resident briefing session at 3:00 PM on October 1st at the Seobinggo-dong Community Service Center.
After completing the public inspection procedure and gathering opinions from the district council, the district plans to request the Seoul Metropolitan Government to determine the maintenance plan and designate the zone.
Yongsan District Mayor Kim Kyung-dae said, "Based on communication with residents, we will make efforts to ensure that the Namsan Daelim Apartment reconstruction is promoted as a project equipped with both a pleasant residential environment and public value."
