Minister of Education Choi Kyo-jin stated that an estimated 250 students have been tentatively identified as eligible for relief following the system outage during the application period for early college admissions for the 2027 academic year.
Attending the National Assembly Education Committee today, Minister Choi said, "We have received a total of about 1,200 applications for relief as of 10:00 a.m. today, and among them, we tentatively view about 250 cases as eligible for relief."
Previously, at around 5:50 p.m. on September 11—just 10 minutes before the deadline for early admissions applications—an error occurred in the application system of UwayApply, causing severe confusion as some applicants were unable to properly complete their applications and payments.
