SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor. X: The Age of White Mafia" has heightened anticipation to the max by releasing its second teaser, capturing the veiled identity of the protagonist, Kim Ji-won.
Slated to premiere on Friday, October 9, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor. X: The Age of White Mafia" (written by Pyeon Seung-geun, directed by Lee Jung-rim depicts the exploits of Gye Su-jeong (played by Kim Ji-won), a "mad dog of the operating room" who shatters massive absurdities with genius surgical skills that know neither failure nor compromise. As the first medical genre from the "SBS Cider Universe," which has driven hits like "Taxi Driver" and "The Fiery Priest," it is drawing high expectations.
The second teaser for "Doctor. X," released on the 16th, opens with the voice of Gye Su-jeong reciting the Hippocratic Oath alone. The scene of her standing alone in a graduation cap and gown before someone while continuing her oath as a doctor sparks curiosity about the hidden story behind her.
Following this, scenes of Gye Su-jeong performing surgeries without hesitation give way to a tense crisis situation where someone is choking her by the neck. Reactions from those around her such as "Isn't she completely crazy about surgery?" and the phrase "The most dangerous doctor" reveal Gye Su-jeong's unique character traits of possessing both genius skills and a dangerous edge.
In the latter part of the video, a heavy line from hospital director Bu Seung-gwon (played by Son Hyun-joo), "Is Gye Su-jeong Doctor. X?", followed by Gye Su-jeong's gaze with an inscrutable expression from behind her surgical mask, leaves a strong lingering impression.
Meanwhile, "Doctor. X," starring actors Kim Ji-won, Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Woo-seok, and others, will premiere on Friday, October 9 at 9:50 PM.
