It has been reported that BTS single CDs are being sold illegally on a Chinese online shopping mall.
Professor Seo Kyoung-duk of Sungshin Women's University has strongly criticized the practice, calling it truly pathetic.
On September 15, Professor Seo posted on social media that single CDs of the BTS song "Sweet" were openly being sold on the major Chinese online shopping mall Temu.
Raising his voice, he noted that the items were even being sold through social media advertisements, calling it a truly pathetic action.
He pointed out that the single CD for "Sweet" is exclusively available through official channels such as Weverse Shop. He added that even if the shopping mall merely provides a platform, exposing and selling illegal goods is a clear mistake.
Seo also cited previous instances where illegal merchandise was sold on Chinese shopping malls, emphasizing that profiting from the unauthorized sales of others' content must stop immediately.
