"Left-handed golfer" Lee Seung-chan has won the 18th tournament (total prize purse of 100 million won) of the KPGA David Golf Tour, the Korean Professional Golfers' Association's second-tier tour.
On the final day of the tournament held at the Buan-Namwon course (par 72) of Gunsan Country Club in North Jeolla Province, Lee shot an 8-under par with eight birdies and no bogeys in the final second round.
Finishing with a final score of 15-under par, Lee was tied with Jung Se-yoon and Park Ji-min, forcing a playoff.
In the first playoff held on the 17th hole (par 3), both Lee and Park made birdies to advance to the second playoff. In the second playoff on the 18th hole (par 4), Lee secured the victory by making a birdie and edging out Park, who settled for par, taking home the winner's prize of 20 million won.
Lee achieved his second win of the season, following his victory at the 11th tournament last July.
