Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball (MLB) failed to record a hit, but extended his streak of reaching base to four consecutive games.
Playing in a home game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Kim finished with no hits in two at-bats and drew two walks.
Although he succeeded in reaching base for the fourth straight game, Kim went hitless for the second consecutive contest, causing his season batting average to drop to 0.128.
Starting as the ninth-hitter and shortstop, Kim drew a walk after a seven-pitch battle against Philadelphia starting pitcher Andrew Painter with two outs in the bottom of the second inning.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, with one out and a runner on first, he again drew a walk to create a scoring opportunity.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Kim was retired on a second baseman's groundout, and he concluded his final plate appearance in the bottom of the eighth with a pitcher's groundout.
