Homeless Man in His 60s Sent to Prosecution for Beating Fellow Homeless Man in His 50s to Death Near Seoul Station

A man in his 60s has been sent to the prosecution for beating a fellow homeless man to death while drinking together at Seoul Station Square.

The Seoul Yongsan Police Station announced today (September 11) that it had transferred the man in his 60s, identified as A, to the prosecution in custody earlier this month on charges of fatal assault.

A is accused of assaulting a man in his 50s, identified as B, around 10:00 PM on August 28 at Seoul Station Square while they were drinking together, resulting in B's death.

A passerby discovered B collapsed on the roadside and reported it to the police. Police identified A as a suspect and urgently arrested him early the following morning.

Both men were known to be homeless individuals who lived around the Seoul Station area.
