Singer Kim Bum-soo is joining SBS's "My Little Old Boy" as its newest son.
In the upcoming episode of "My Little Old Boy" airing on the 13th, Kim Bum-soo's single life will be revealed for the first time after the production team spent 10 years working hard to cast him.
During a recent studio recording, MC Shin Dong-yeob warmly welcomed Kim, saying, "The production team put in all sorts of efforts over 10 years to bring him here." The subsequent footage of Kim's daily life even left MC Seo Jang-hoon amazed. From meticulously aligning cup handles at precise angles to maintaining a strict hygiene philosophy that doesn't allow a single speck of dust, Kim earned official recognition from the "cleanliness king" Seo Jang-hoon.
His dedication to self-care was also captured on camera. A vanity equipped with some 20 products, including a cosmetics refrigerator, and a walk-in closet reminiscent of a select shop drew admiration from the "mom-vengers."
However, pain hidden beneath his glamorous daily life was also revealed. Visiting a vocal training center, Kim was seen struggling and cracking notes continuously during practice. Kim shared about an incident seven years ago when he had to suddenly give up a concert, saying, "It felt like the sky was falling as a singer." He confessed that due to that day's incident, "walking up to the stage was terrifying, feeling like walking onto a cold execution scaffold." Furthermore, he showed that he currently struggles even to sing his hit song " 보고 싶다 (I Miss You)."
Watching this, special MC Joo Sang Wook reddened with tears and could not hide his heartbreak.
The hidden daily life and deep inner stories of legendary singer Kim Bum-soo will be revealed on "My Little Old Boy," airing at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday the 13th. This episode will be broadcast later than usual due to the coverage of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
