Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited occupied Syrian territory and emphasized that defeating Iran's terror regime is a primary task.
On the 9th local time, Prime Minister Netanyahu visited the summit of Mount Hermon within the Syrian territory that the Israeli military has occupied following the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024.
At the site, he emphasized, "There is still much work to be done. The main task is to defeat Iran's terror regime. We are very close to it."
He went on to claim, "We know that the axis centered on Iran will eventually collapse."
He also added, "We will not allow any terrorist army to establish itself near our borders."
Analysis suggests that Netanyahu's visit to the occupied territory to deliver a belligerent message toward Iran is an attempt to overcome the political crisis that has flared up ahead of the general election next month.
Recently within Israel, revelations have continued that although the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt provided intelligence regarding Hamas's surprise attack on October 7, 2023, Prime Minister Netanyahu ignored it.
