Prime Minister Han Sung-sook stated today (the 9th), "Nothing has been decided yet regarding the deployment of troops to the Strait of Hormuz."
Prime Minister Han made the remark during the National Assembly's questioning session when asked by Democratic Party lawmaker Kwak Sang-un about her stance on the deployment.
She continued, "We are all well aware of the freedom of navigation in the strait, the global supply chain, and how vital the Strait of Hormuz is for us to secure energy." She added, "I would like to say that we are currently discussing various ways to make a practical contribution to the international community."
