South Korea's youth national baseball team has advanced to the Super Round of the 18U Asian Baseball Championship with three consecutive wins.
Led by Manager Jung Yoon-jin (Deoksu High School), the national team secured a 14-0 victory via a 5th-inning mercy rule against Thailand in their third Group B match of the group stage, held today at the Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium in New Taipei, Taiwan.
Having decisively defeated Taiwan (2-0) and Singapore (15-0) prior, South Korea advanced to the Super Round as the top seed of Group B, where they will face Group A's top two teams, Japan and the Philippines.
South Korea will face Japan on the 11th at the Taipei Dome, followed by a match against the Philippines on the 12th, aiming for a spot in the finals.
South Korea is seeking its first championship title at this tournament in eight years.
