Director Choi Kook-hee, who helmed the film "Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub," emphasized the differences and strengths that set it apart from the previous series.
Attending the press and distribution preview for "Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub" held at CGV Yongsan in Seoul on the afternoon of the 9th, Director Choi stated, Unlike parts 1, 2, and 3, "Tazza 4" is a work with the character of a spin-off. From the original work, the drama was stronger and darker than parts 1, 2, and 3. Above all, it is focused on dealing with human desire. Envy, jealousy, and betrayal are well expressed, and I tried to melt those aspects of the original work well into the film.
Regarding the casting of Byun Yohan and Roh Jae-won as two friends who turn into enemies, he shared, Jang-tae and Park-tae are two very different figures, so I tried many combinations of actors with different feels. In particular, I envisioned Jang-tae as someone who looks handsome, charming, lucky, and born with many things, while Park-tae is someone who succeeded acquiredly through his own efforts, leading me to combine these two actors. It was a very satisfying work.
Director Choi shared his thoughts on directing the fourth installment, saying, As a fan who has loved the "Tazza" series for a long time, it was an honor to work on adorning the finale of this series.
"Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub" is a crime film where Jang Tae-young (Byun Yohan), who thought he had the world in his hands through an online casino business, and his close friend of the same name, Park Tae-young (Roh Jae-won), who took everything away from him, meet again in a global gambling ring to play a game of revenge. It was directed by Director Choi Kook-hee, who made "Default," and stars Byun Yohan and Roh Jae-won.
The film is scheduled to be released on September 23.
