The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Memorial in Shanghai, China, is scheduled to reopen on the 16th after completing facility renovations that lasted for about two months.
The Huangpu District Bureau of Culture and Tourism in Shanghai stated, "Following maintenance and renovation work, the memorial will be reopened to the public on the 16th."
Previously, the relevant Chinese authority, the Management Office of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Historic Site, announced that the memorial would be closed from August 1 to September 14, adding that a specific reopening schedule would be announced separately.
An official from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai stated, "There will be no separate event for the reopening," adding, "(The Chinese side) stated that this was simply a facility renovation and the exhibition contents remain the same as before."
