President Lee Jae-myung, who is currently on a state visit to France, is scheduled to attend the South Korea-France Business Roundtable, a bilateral business exchange event, in Paris on the 8th (local time), Senior Spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced in a written briefing.
The event will bring together a total of some 30 participants, including around 20 business leaders and government officials from both countries.
Notably, the South Korean delegation will feature a large number of prominent business figures, including Ryu Jin, chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries; Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong; LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun; Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon; LG Electronics President Ryu Jae-cheol; Hyundai Motor President Sung Kim; Hanwha TotalEnergies CEO Na Sang-seob; Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon; and Celltrion CEO Seo Jin-seok.
From the French side, participants will include Francois Jackow, chairman of the France-Korea Economic Cooperation Committee of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF); Jean Lemierre, chairman of BNP Paribas; and Nicolas Hieronimus, CEO of L'Oreal, among others.
At the event, President Lee is expected to listen to the opinions of business leaders on expanding bilateral business cooperation.
