Professional baseball player Kang Baek-ho (27) of the Hanwha Eagles has reached the 30-home-run mark in a single season for the first time since his debut.
Playing in a home game against the Doosan Bears in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League at Hanwha Life Ballpark in Daejeon today (the 8th), Kang smashed a two-run homer in the bottom of the third inning with his team leading 2-0.
With two outs and a runner on first, Kang attacked a slider from Doosan starting pitcher Choi Seung-yong, launching a massive 130-meter home run over the center field fence.
Having set his previous personal best with 29 home runs during his debut season in 2018, Kang conquered his 30th home run of the season with this blast.
Combined with Heo In-seo's two-run homer—his 18th of the season—earlier in the second inning, Hanwha leads 4-0 as of the top of the fourth inning.
