Having transformed into a solo artist after leaving the group ENHYPEN, EVAN has gone straight to the top of physical album and digital music charts with his 1st mini album.
According to Hanteo Chart, a physical album sales aggregation site, on the 8th, EVAN's 1st mini album "DEATH OF ME" sold a total of 461,488 copies on the first day of its release, claiming the No. 1 spot on the daily physical album chart (for September 7).
His performance on domestic digital music charts also stood out. "Death of Me," the title track sharing the same name as the album, rose to No. 1 on the Bugs real-time chart at 8 p.m. on the 7th, immediately after its release. On Melon, it entered the "Hot 100" chart (tracks released within 30 days) at No. 5, while the b-side tracks also landed alongside it, proving his strong firepower.
Global reactions are also enthusiastic. The 1st mini album claimed the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 10 countries and regions, including Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, and Turkey, and charted in a total of 28 countries and regions. The title track "Death of Me" topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 7 countries and regions.
"DEATH OF ME" is EVAN's new release approximately two months after his digital single "RIDE OR DIE" released in June, containing his determination to take hold of tangled emotions and move forward. Featuring a total of 8 tracks including the heavy pop R&B title track "Death of Me," EVAN led the production of the entire album, infusing his honest stories.
Meanwhile, on the 7th, the day of the release, EVAN held the "EVAN 1st Mini Album 'DEATH OF ME' Debut Showcase" at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, where he performed tracks from his new album, shared behind-the-scenes stories, and spent a special time with EVER, his fandom.
