People Power Party Leader Jang Dong-hyeok is set to visit the Air Force Academy to gather on-site opinions regarding the controversy over the integration of the Army, Naval, and Air Force academies.
Leader Jang is scheduled to visit the Air Force Academy in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, this afternoon (September 7) along with lawmaker Lim Jong-deok, the opposition secretary of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee, to hold a meeting and listen to concerns from the field.
Prior to this, Leader Jang will also attend a National Assembly seminar this morning opposing the integration and consolidation of the three service academies to seek alternatives.
Leader Jang, a former Air Force officer, has consistently voiced opposition, claiming that the Lee Jae-myung administration is hastily pushing for the integration of the three service academies based on political logic.
