A fire broke out at a multi-family housing building in Incheon, injuring one resident.
The Incheon Metropolitan Fire Headquarters stated that the fire broke out at around 7:00 p.m. yesterday (September 2) on the second floor of a five-story multi-family housing building in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon.
Due to the fire, a male resident in his 80s was transported to a nearby hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and a decreased level of consciousness.
Additionally, 5 square meters of the interior and some household items were burned, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at 4.25 million won.
Upon receiving the report, fire authorities mobilized 58 personnel and 19 pieces of equipment, completely extinguishing the fire in 15 minutes.
Fire authorities believe the fire was caused by carelessness while cooking food in the kitchen and are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
