Heat wave warnings remain in effect for South Jeolla Province, South Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island.
Today (September 2), daytime temperatures in Yangsan and Gyeongju exceeded 34°C (93°F), making the southern regions sweltering.
Currently, showers are falling in various places across the southern regions due to atmospheric instability.
These showers are expected to continue until this evening in those areas.
In particular, the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province regions could see heavy downpours of up to 60 mm in a short period, accompanied by possible hail, so caution against safety accidents is required.
Tomorrow morning's low is expected to be 22°C (72°F) in Seoul. As for daytime temperatures, Ulsan, which has rain in the forecast, will see a high of 28°C (82°F), lower than today, while Gwangju will rise to 32°C (90°F).
Rain is forecasted to continue along the east coast and Jeju Island through the latter half of the week.
