SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Flex X Cop 2" has entered its second act, keeping up an unstoppable upward trend driven by the maturing buddy chemistry between Ahn Bohyun and Jung Eun-chae.
As of its latest 8th episode, "Flex X Cop 2" recorded a peak viewership rating of 9.3% and 8.0% in the metropolitan area, breaking its own highest ratings for two consecutive weeks. In addition, its 20-49 viewership ratings averaged 2.7% with a peak of 3.26%, taking first place across all terrestrial, cable, and general programming channels on Saturday. It also defended its spot at number one on Disney+ comprehensive content rankings in South Korea based on FlixPatrol, proving its powerful box office success both online and offline.
Jin Yi-soo (played by Ahn Bohyun) and newly appointed team leader Joo Hye-ra (played by Jung Eun-chae), who started out as bickering rivals in the Gangha Police Station Violent Crime Team 1, have transformed into a fantastic investigative duo who understand each other through repeated cases. Jin Yi-soo's financial investigation style—buying buildings entirely to bypass the need for search warrants and mobilizing supercars, helicopters, and private jets to track down criminals—blends with Joo Hye-ra's tenacious investigative skills to deliver thrilling satisfaction.
Entering the full-scale second act, a massive variable arrives in the duo's perfected partnership. In the previous broadcast, Yu Seong-won (played by Yoo Seung-ho), a world-renowned sculptor and close friend of Jin Yi-soo, was named as the prime suspect in a serial disappearance and murder case. Amid the impending crisis where Joo Hye-ra's suspicions and Jin Yi-soo's trust will directly clash, Yu Seong-won's chilling double life is previewed, raising curiosity about the future development.
Entering Act 2 with the fantastic duo's flawless cooperation and unpredictable turns, "Flex X Cop 2" will air its 9th episode on Friday the 4th at 9:50 PM.
