Police are investigating an active-duty soldier caught on charges of forcibly hugging a woman who was working out in a park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
The Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station announced that it has arrested a man in his 20s, identified as A, who is a military service member, on charges of forcible indecency.
A is accused of following a woman who was running in Yeongdeungpo Park at around 10:21 PM on August 12 and hugging her from behind.
Police dispatched after receiving a report from the victimized woman arrested A at the scene.
Investigations showed that A was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Confirming that A is an active-duty soldier, the police transferred the case to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on August 13.
