Roberto Moreno, who previously managed the Spanish national team, has been appointed as the interim head coach to lead the crisis-hit South Korean national football team.
The Korea Football Association, having returned from Europe last week after meeting with candidates for the interim managerial post, held a board meeting today (September 1) and approved the appointment of a total of six coaching staff members, including coach Moreno.
This marks the first time a Spanish manager will take charge of the national team.
Coach Moreno previously served as an assistant coach for FC Barcelona, as well as an assistant coach and head coach for the Spanish national team.
Taking the helm starting from this month's A-match period, Moreno will initially lead the team through six scheduled A-matches until the end of November this year.
