The personal information of Jeong Chang-seong, a 31-year-old Chinese university lecturer accused of murdering a Chinese female student in her 20s, desecrating her body, and abandoning the remains across the country, has been made public.
Jeong was apprehended by police on charges of murdering the victim in his studio apartment in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, in the early hours of August 20, dismembering her body, and abandoning the remains in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, and Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
He is also accused of disguising himself in women's clothing and heading to Dongdaegu Station to turn off the victim's mobile phone in an attempt to mislead the police investigation.
Jeong's personal information will remain posted on the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency website until September 1.
