Today (August 31), heavy downpours hit South Chungcheong Province, recording 138 mm in Seocheon, 115 mm in Nonsan, 111 mm in Buyeo, and 101 mm in Gyeryong.
More than 40 reports of fallen trees and flooding were received across South Chungcheong Province.
This is a vinyl greenhouse in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, which suffered damage from a tornado-like gust last week.
Rainwater continued to pour into the collapsed greenhouse, turning the inside into a complete pool of water.
Lettuce ready for shipment is uprooted by the roots with just a slight tug.
Farmers are left helpless as the heavy rain continues, delaying even the start of recovery work until the rain stops.

At 3:50 AM today, on the Seoul Ring Expressway in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, a 7.5-ton truck crashed into a 12-ton truck that had temporarily stopped due to the rainy conditions, resulting in the death of the 7.5-ton truck driver, a man in his 70s.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety reported that as of 4:00 PM today, there have been 474 fire service responses nationwide for rain damage, including flooded homes and the removal of fallen rocks and soil.
