Due to the impact of Typhoon Nangka, the 19th typhoon, which has been battering southern China since the 24th, heavy rains caused rivers to overflow in Chongzuo, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, submerging houses, shops, and roads while isolating villages across the area.
Before the damage could even be addressed, news broke on the 28th of the landing of a "monster typhoon," Saudelor, which spans over 1,000 km in diameter and has an affected area exceeding 400,000 square kilometers, putting Chinese authorities and citizens on edge.
