An earthquake of magnitude 2.6 struck an area 21 kilometers northwest of Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, at 10:30:13 AM today (29th), the Korea Meteorological Administration announced.
The epicenter is located at 34.66 degrees north latitude and 126.40 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 20 kilometers.
The Korea Meteorological Administration explained, "People in areas near the earthquake may feel shaking, so please exercise caution for safety."
