The movie 'The Odyssey' (directed by Christopher Nolan) has maintained the number one spot at the box office for 23 consecutive days.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing computer network on the 28th, 'The Odyssey' drew 150,092 moviegoers nationwide the previous day (the 27th). Its cumulative audience reached 7,806,294.
Having surpassed 1 million admissions on the 4th day of its release, 2 million on the 6th day, 3 million on the 10th day, 4 million on the 12th day, 5 million on the 13th day, 6 million on the 17th day, and 7 million on the 19th day, 'The Odyssey' continues to boast unwavering box office momentum by drawing over 150,000 daily viewers even on weekdays in its 4th week since release. It is expected to reach the 8 million milestone over this weekend.
Second place at the box office went to 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', which drew 34,753 people on the same day. Although it was released a week earlier than 'The Odyssey', it surrendered the top spot in its second week. However, it has been leading a dual box office success by achieving the highest box-office performance in its franchise. Its cumulative audience stands at 8,297,961, and it is expected to surpass 8.5 million moviegoers over this weekend.
