Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), stated on the 27th (local time) that mediator countries have been exploring conditions to open the Strait of Hormuz, and the Iranian government is currently preparing a list of related conditions.
Speaking through an interpreter during an interview with Lebanon's Al-Manar TV that day, Secretary Rezaei said, "Iran's conditions for opening the strait include bringing an end to the war in the West Asian region, including Lebanon."
He also explained that Iran has agreed with Oman to establish a new shipping corridor, adding, "This corridor will be created spanning both Omani and Iranian territorial waters."
Secretary Rezaei further stated, "If the United States fulfills Iran's demands, vessels will be able to navigate through a designated central route within the Strait of Hormuz."
Meanwhile, he dismissed allegations that Iran plotted to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump's son as an "outright lie."
