The Samsung Lions hit grand slams for the second consecutive day, extending their winning streak to four games.
In the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League away game against the Kiwum Heroes at Gocheok Sky Dome today (August 27), Samsung unleashed a total of 20 hits—including a grand slam by Lewin Diaz—to secure a 15-2 victory.
Samsung opened the scoring in the top of the 3rd inning when Kim Ji-chan hit a triple down the right-field line.
Following an infield hit by Kim Sung-yoon, Koo Ja-wook hit an RBI single to center, and Choi Hyung-woo drove in two runs with a double, giving Samsung a 3-0 lead.
In the 4th, Kim Sung-yoon added another run with an RBI single to center.
Gaining momentum, Samsung pulled ahead 8-0 in the top of the 6th when Lewin Diaz launched a grand slam over the right-field wall.
Kiwum clawed back two runs in the bottom of the 6th following a double by Kim Woong-bin, a triple by Matt Davidson, and a double by Kim Geon-hee.
However, Samsung capitalized on an error to score three runs in the top of the 8th and added four more in the top of the 9th to put the game away.
Samsung starting pitcher Won Tae-in earned the win, allowing two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts over six innings.
