The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that out of 4,883 applicants for the second elementary, middle, and high school graduation equivalency examinations of 2026, 4,439 passed.
The pass rate stood at 90.9%, up 0.4 percentage points from 90.5% during the same period last year.
The pass rate for elementary school graduation was the highest at 95.2%, followed by middle school at 92.2% and high school at 90.2%.
The oldest successful applicants were an octogenarian man for the elementary school level, 79-year-old Yang Sang-bok for the middle school level, and 82-year-old Yu Ho-jun for the high school level.
In addition, 31 out of 34 applicants with disabilities obtained their graduation qualifications.
