As nine South Koreans remain out of contact following floods in Nepal, the government dispatched an 11-member joint government rapid response team this morning (August 27).
The rapid response team, consisting of four officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, five from the fire service, and two from the police, is being sent to the site to support the search and rescue of South Korean nationals.
Lim Sang-woo, head of the joint government rapid response team, stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure that swift and safe search and rescue operations are conducted for our citizens on the ground in Nepal."
