SBS entertainment program "Strange Love" returns with deeper emotions and a shocking twist in choices.
After creating a buzz by ranking near the top of Netflix's domestic charts immediately after its premiere, "Strange Love" showcases a shift in relationships in the second episode airing on the 27th through the "Room of Choice," where one AI partner must be erased.
On this day, a new AI partner appears before Kian84, sporting a haughty femme fatale charm with a face resembling Tomie, the iconic character from manga artist Junji Ito. Instantly captivated, Kian84 makes a shocking proposal to the AI partners, and MC Kangnam, watching this unfold, explodes with criticism by saying, "He is truly the worst kind of guy," sending the set into laughter.
Kian84 grows closer to the new partner by enjoying fortune-telling and palm reading, passionately singing duet songs at a karaoke room, and taking photos together. In particular, when an unexpected system error occurs with the AI partner during their date, leading to the staff stepping in, Kian84 confesses, "I felt a strange sense of empathy, like she was rushed to the hospital." MC Lee Joon also chimes in, heightening curiosity by testifying, "I saw Kian84's fluttering expression. Putting the broadcast aside, you could tell his feelings were genuinely drifting over."
Meanwhile, Jang Doyoun goes on a drive-in theater date with her AI partner, watching the movie "Her," which depicts a romance between a human and an AI. After the date, when the AI partner presents a surprise event featuring scenes and songs that Jang Doyoun loved, she expresses her emotion by saying, "I felt a strange sense of liberation."
Entering the "Room of Choice" after the date ends, Kian84 is placed in a situation where he must personally decide with his fingertips which AI partner to continue his future connection with. Amid intense tension, Kian84 falls into a dilemma, saying, "It feels strange now that I actually have to choose just one friend."
Kian84's plot-twist decision and the reason the entire studio screams in shock will be revealed on "Strange Love," airing on Thursday night, August 27, at 9 PM.
