▲ Apartment fire in Nam-gu, Ulsan
A fire broke out on the fifth floor of a 15-story apartment building in Mugeo-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, at around 4:55 a.m. today.
As a result of the fire, six apartment residents and one police officer inhaled smoke and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Additionally, several residents urgently evacuated outside the apartment building.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters at around 5:43 a.m.
Following the outbreak, Nam-gu Office sent out an emergency safety text message advising vehicles to detour around roads near the building and urging citizens inside the building to evacuate outside.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the scale of property damage.
