Poll results released today (August 26) showed that President Lee Jae-myung's state approval rating stood in the high 30% range.
According to a public opinion survey conducted by Straight News commissioned JoWon C&I on 2,001 adult men and women nationwide from August 22 to 24 (ARS poll utilizing 100% mobile RDD; margin of error is ±2.2 percentage points at a 95% confidence level; for further details, refer to the National Election Survey Deliberation Commission website), positive evaluations regarding President Lee's conduct of state affairs were tallied at 38.9%.
Negative evaluations reached 57.9%, while responses of "don't know" accounted for 3.2%.
This figure represents a 4.0 percentage point drop in the positive response rate compared to the same organization's previous survey results.
Regarding the downward trend in approval ratings, Cheong Wa Dae stated in an announcement today that it will "place top priority on people's livelihoods and the economy."
Cheong Wa Dae also emphasized, "We will meticulously examine overall state affairs so that the lives of the citizens improve and they can tangibly feel the changes," adding, "We will do our utmost to produce practical results."
