There is a controversy swirling over a very strange menu being used at a Korean restaurant abroad, right?
A photo of a menu from a Korean restaurant in Canada was recently shared on social media.
In the photos of the naengmyeon (cold noodles), makguksu (buckwheat noodles), and assorted fried dishes on the menu, hard-to-identify net-like or spherical patterns repeatedly appeared all over the food.
The uploader who shared the photo mentioned that a friend they went with turned the menu upside down just looking at it because it made their stomach sick, describing it as "what earth food might look like imagined by an alien civilization."
In particular, they added that the photo of the assorted fried dishes "looks like insect eggs."
These photos are presumed to have been created using generative AI, and what draws even more attention is the fact that the restaurant used to feature ordinary, neat photos of actual food on its menus in the past.
Photos and videos utilizing AI are widely used these days.
However, they still look somewhat awkward and do not seem to fully capture human-exclusive senses and emotions.
