Iran has clearly conveyed its stance on the Strait of Hormuz to the United States through its mediator, Pakistan, the semi-official Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported on the 25th local time.
A source familiar with the Iranian negotiating delegation stated, "Contrary to reports by some media outlets, Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, who visited Iran the previous day, did not carry any threatening messages or similar letters from the U.S."
The source further explained, "Rather, General Munir sought to open a negotiation channel, and his visit aimed to convey Iran's conditions and stance to the U.S. side."
The source also emphasized, "One of the conditions put forward by Iran (for resuming negotiation channels) is for the U.S. to return to the Islamabad Agreement and implement all provisions of the agreement, including Article 5, which addresses Iran's authority and actions within the Strait of Hormuz."
The source added, "These details were clearly communicated through Pakistan, and the Pakistani side is working to deliver these conditions to the U.S. side."
