The Sejong Nambu Police Station announced on the 25th that it has forwarded a man in his 20s, identified as A, to the prosecution under arrest on charges of assault causing bodily injury, for choking a citizen he did not know and assaulting another passerby.
A is accused of approaching a citizen sitting on a bench in a park in Sanul-dong, Sejong, at around 8 p.m. on the 2nd, wrapping his arm around the victim's neck, and choking them.
A is also suspected of picking a fight with a passerby in front of a nearby restaurant earlier the same day and striking them in the face, fracturing two of their teeth.
It was found that neither of the two victims had any prior acquaintance with A.
Police reported that A stated during police questioning that he committed the crimes under the influence of alcohol and without any particular reason.
