We have exclusively obtained the indictment of former Busan mayoral candidate Jung Yi-han, who was indicted on charges of staging a beverage terror attack during the June 3 local elections. The document reveals that they meticulously plotted the crime in advance, even arranging for green tea latte to be thrown so that it would deliberately leave stains on clothing.

Former Busan mayoral candidate Jung Yi-han was indicted and detained for staging a beverage terror attack last April.
Jung and his accomplice, surnamed Yoon, first met in 2019 as a gym patron and a trainer, maintaining a close relationship for nearly seven years.
Ahead of the election, Jung repeatedly shared his concerns with Yoon regarding his low public recognition.
After Jung remarked, "I wish I could even get hit by a flower pot" and "Won't someone throw some coffee at me?", Yoon chimed in, asking, "Should I throw something at you?"
About two days before the crime, Jung directly proposed the staged attack to Yoon.
He even gave specific execution instructions, telling Yoon to prepare a colored green tea latte so that it would leave stains on clothes, and to splash the beverage while handing over a business card.
They also devised ways to conceal their identities, such as using another person's vehicle and wearing hats.
Following the crime, Jung acted as the victim of a terror attack and gave interviews.

According to the prosecution, Jung's spouse also wrote a false petition asking for leniency—knowing that the attack was staged and stating, "Suspect Yoon is around my husband's age, so my heart keeps going out to him"—and Jung publicly revealed the scene of submitting that petition to the media.
The first trial for former Busan mayoral candidate Jung Yi-han and his accomplice Yoon, who are accused of staging the terror attack, is scheduled to be held on September 15.
