It has been belatedly revealed that singer G-DRAGON invited descendants of independence fighters, descendants of Korean War veterans, and correction officers who have quietly fulfilled their duties on the front lines of correctional services—referred to as the "heroes" of our society—to BIGBANG's 20th-anniversary world tour concert.
As the honorary chairman of the Juspeace Foundation, G-DRAGON purchased and provided concert tickets himself as part of the cultural and artistic activities of the foundation's ongoing "Hero Recovery" project ahead of the BIGBANG concert. This follows his actions during last year's G-DRAGON world tour, where he invited uniformed public servants such as firefighters and police officers, expanding the group of invitees this time.
The Juspeace Foundation's "Hero Recovery" project was launched to remember the dedication of those who have fulfilled their responsibilities in their respective positions for the safety and peace of our society, and to deliver time for gratitude, respect, and recovery through culture and arts.
This concert was attended by descendants of independence fighters and Korean War veterans who dedicated themselves to the freedom, independence, and peace of South Korea, as well as correction officers who have quietly fulfilled their duties for the rehabilitation of inmates and social safety in correctional settings.
The invitation was carried out to reflect on the fact that today's daily life continues on the sacrifice and responsibility of someone, and to convey a message of gratitude and respect through culture and arts to those our society should remember.
Oh Hee-young, CEO of the Juspeace Foundation, stated, "Our ordinary days contain someone's sacrifice and dedication, and the efforts of people who are still fulfilling their responsibilities in their places. Although it is not a grand reward, we wanted to convey the sentiment that our society does not forget their hard work."
She continued, "I believe that culture and arts can comfort someone and offer a small strength to return to daily life. We will continue our activities through the 'Hero Recovery' project to discover those who have protected the community from unseen places in our society and to deliver gratitude and respect through art."
Meanwhile, BIGBANG has embarked on the full-scale journey of "BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX : COSMOS>," starting with this Goyang concert and continuing with a total of 33 shows across 19 cities worldwide, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
