Actor Jang Dong-yoon, 34, is getting married to actor Kim Seung-yun, 29, who is five years his junior.
On the 25th, Jang Dong-yoon's agency, BH Entertainment, stated, "Jang Dong-yoon and Kim Seung-yun are getting married this coming October."
The two have been in a long-term relationship, and their wedding will be held as a small-scale worship service inviting only their immediate families.
On this day, Jang Dong-yoon posted a handwritten letter on his social media, sharing the news directly with his fans by saying, "This coming October, I am getting married to someone I have been with for a long time."
In the letter, Jang Dong-yoon said, "I had many thoughts and worries before deciding to get married. Spending a lot of time together allowed us to learn about various sides of each other, and through that, we came to understand and cherish each other even more. We have decided to become each other's closest allies in the closest place and live a fun and happy life together."
He continued, "You might be surprised by the sudden news, but I would be grateful if you could watch over us with warm hearts. I will strive to continue showing good sides as an actor and living more maturely as an individual."
Jang Dong-yoon first drew attention after appearing on SBS News in 2015 as a "handsome college student" who caught a robber at a convenience store in Seoul, and officially debuted as an actor the following year in the web drama "Game Company Female Employees". Since then, he has appeared in various works including the dramas "The Tale of Nokdu", "Oasis", "Daily Dose of Sunshine", "Like Flowers in Sand", "Queen Mantis", and the films "Beautiful Days", "Run Boy Run", and "Project Wolf Hunting".
Kim Seung-yun debuted in 2019 through "The Tale of Nokdu", in which Jang Dong-yoon played a leading role, and later appeared in "For Eagle Brothers" and director Hong Sang-soo's film "In Water". Notably, Jang Dong-yoon directed the short film "Please Be My Ear" in 2023 and his first feature film "The Yeast" this year, with Kim Seung-yun taking on the lead roles in both works.
