A former police officer has been arrested on murder charges for allegedly killing his ex-wife.
The Seogwipo Police Station in Jeju announced today (August 25) that they have urgently arrested a man in his 50s, identified as A, on murder charges for allegedly killing his ex-wife, also in his 50s, who lived in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju.
The victim was found dead yesterday (August 24) with stab wounds at her home.
Police identified her ex-husband, A, a former police officer, as the prime suspect and focused on tracking his whereabouts, eventually apprehending him early this morning at an unspecified location in Gyeonggi Province.
A reportedly confessed to the crime.
Police are currently investigating A regarding his motive and the exact circumstances of the incident.
