In the early hours of the 12th, a man wearing a bizarre mask sequentially threatened pedestrians in downtown Philadelphia, U.S.
Wearing a mask reminiscent of the horror movie character "Chucky," the man chased a woman jogging in the early morning while saying, "Are you ready to die?", and approached other passing citizens, causing terror. A startled woman even got injured while trying to run away.
Just a few weeks prior in Illinois, a teenager in clown makeup went door-to-door ringing doorbells and leaving eerie remarks such as, "I've been looking for you." Residents testified that he was holding a weapon, and fear grew further after a man in his 70s was actually found stabbed to death nearby.
