Kian84, who has transformed into a "guesthouse owner," is turning his bizarre imagination into reality once again over the snowfields of midwinter Daegwallyeong.
Netflix's variety show "Kian's Bizarre B&B" has confirmed the release of Season 2 for September 22, and unveiled a group poster with an unrivaled aura along with a teaser trailer today.
Unlike Season 1, which was set in Ulleungdo in the middle of summer, Season 2 takes place at the "Kian's Bizarre B&B Branch 2," located in the freezing mountain passes of Daegwallyeong. Spearheaded by Kian84, an "experienced owner" now well-versed in running a guesthouse, "passionate rookie staff members" Kim Yeon-koung, Lee Jun-ho, and Kazuha have joined to showcase a refreshingly new family chemistry.
The striking poster of the Daegwallyeong snowfield—where even the snow removal tool storage box is piled high with snow and an unidentified cow stands—hints at a grueling guesthouse operation by the staff that surpasses Season 1.
In the released trailer, Kian84 kicks off the rampage of "Kian-esque romance" by floating in the sky attached to a large balloon or drawing bizarre blueprints while trying to sleep in front of a campfire to escape the cold. The staff, facing the reality of Branch 2, could not hide their shock, saying "This is nuts," and rookie Kazuha elicited laughter by expressing concerns, asking, "Can guests actually come here?" Even Kian84, the designer himself, was flustered enough to say, "We need to pull ourselves together."
In particular, high-level labor surpassing Season 1 is anticipated, such as having to hand-wash laundry without a washing machine in the snowy fields and moving around by sliding down a pole. A key point to watch is the unfiltered witty banter, such as Kim Yeon-koung's spicy complaint, "Who on earth made this?", followed by Lee Jun-ho striking back with, "You made it, hyung."
Producer Lee So-min, who is in charge of directing, shared, "If Branch 1 showcased the youth and romance of summer against the backdrop of the Ulleungdo sea, Branch 2 will feature the unique romance of winter—where people gather around together in a cozy room on a cold winter night in Daegwallyeong to eat, play, chat, and grow closer." She added, "Kian84's imagination, which goes beyond Season 1, has been unleashed. Please look forward to the even more bizarre Branch 2 and the chemistry of the 'Bizarre Family' consisting of Kian84, Kim Yeon-koung, Lee Jun-ho, and Kazuha."
