Fire Breaks Out on 3rd Floor of Jeonju Villa; No Casualties Reported

A fire broke out on the third floor of a multi-family housing building in Deokjin-gu, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, at around 11:14 p.m. yesterday (August 23).

While there were no casualties, nine people, including three who were inside the fire-affected unit, evacuated the building on their own.

Responding to the emergency call, fire authorities mobilized around 40 personnel and about 10 pieces of equipment, completely extinguishing the blaze in about 40 minutes.

The fire destroyed about half of the third-floor unit and burned household items.

Police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
