A man in his 70s who fell into the water at a port in Seogwipo was rescued and taken to a hospital, but ultimately died.
At around 9:40 a.m. today (August 22), a report was filed with the police by a passerby stating that a man was found floating in the waters near Haye Port in Haye-dong, Seogwipo.
Upon receiving a request for joint response from the police, the Coast Guard and 119 rescue services arrived at the scene and transferred the rescued man to a nearby hospital.
The man was pronounced dead at around 10:30 a.m.
