Actor Yoo Ah-in has officially signaled his return to the entertainment industry after signing an exclusive contract with agency Billions.
On August 21, Billions announced via its official social media channels, "We have signed an exclusive contract with actor Yoo Ah-in on August 21, 2026."
The agency also indirectly addressed the public's lingering criticism regarding his comeback, stating, "We are heavily aware of the concerns regarding Yoo Ah-in's past incident and his recent resumption of activities."
Billions promised to support Yoo's future projects while actively working to regain public trust. "We will not treat the past lightly or try to rush past it," the agency stated. "We are well aware that earning back trust requires deep self-reflection and a sincere attitude above all else."
The agency added, "Taking the current concerns seriously, we will humbly listen to criticism from both the public and the media, and approach all necessary communication with utmost humility."
Yoo was indicted in 2023 on charges of habitual illegal drug use and was sentenced by the Supreme Court last year to one year in prison, suspended for two years, along with a fine of 2 million won. Although his probation period is still ongoing, he has confirmed his casting in director Jang Jae-hyun's upcoming film "Vampire" and recently began filming.
