The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced today (the 21st) that it has officially launched the selection committee for the Korea Baseball Hall of Fame.
Hong Yun-pyo, senior reporter at OSEN, has been appointed as the chair of the selection committee. The committee members include Min Kyung-sam, advisor for the professional baseball team SSG Landers; Lee Tae-il, vice president of Brain Sports; Yoon Byeong-woong, deputy center director of the KBO Video Review Center; Cho Min-jun, secretary-general of the Korea Baseball Softball Association; Lee Jae-guk, senior reporter at SPOTV News; Lee Seong-hoon, reporter at SBS; Kim Yang-hee, reporter at The Hankyoreh; Jung Se-young, reporter at Munhwa Ilbo; and Sohn Hwan, professor of physical education at Chung-Ang University.
The selection committee will be responsible for tasks such as recommending preliminary and final candidates for induction, giving final approval for inductees, revoking inductions, and selecting individuals for induction for meritorious service.
The Korea Baseball Hall of Fame is scheduled to open in the first half of 2027.
