An excavator overturned at a logging site in Muju, North Jeolla Province, resulting in the death of the driver.
According to the Muju Police Station and other sources, a report was received at 8:53 a.m. yesterday (August 20) stating that an excavator had "rolled down 30 meters" at a logging site in Jeoksang-myeon, Muju-gun.
In the accident, the excavator driver in his 50s, identified as A, was transported by helicopter in cardiac arrest and later died.
Authorities determined that the accident occurred while work was underway to transport felled trees down the mountain.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
