[Warfare / Director: Alex Garland, Ray Mendoza / Starring: Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton, Cosmo Jarvis]
"Warfare" is a war film that reunites director Alex Garland and A24, who previously worked together on the film "Civil War."
Based on the testimonies and memories of actual Iraq War veterans, it depicts a battle that unfolds in 2006 when U.S. special forces soldiers on reconnaissance in an Iraqi insurgent-occupied territory become isolated following a surprise attack by insurgents.
What sets it apart from typical war films is how it realistically portrays the situations where battles do not take place and the accompanying pressure as part of the combat experience.
It has received high praise for its realistic sound effects that make you feel as though you can hear the scent of sweat and the tension.

[Concrete Green Island / Director: Lee Sung-min]
"Concrete Green Island" is a film set against the backdrop of the reconstruction of Seoul's Gaepo Jugong Apartment Complex 1, which was built by the government in the early 1980s to address the housing shortage.
However, the main characters are not people, but trees.
The film gazes at how trees that grew taller than the apartments while spending more than 40 years alongside the residents are helplessly cut down due to the apartment demolition.
The director, who is himself a "Gaepo Jugong kid," asks and asks again over several years of filming whether the trees could not possibly be replanted in the reconstructed complex.

"Mungchi on the Road" is the next project from the production team behind "Leafie, A Hen into the Wild," the biggest box-office hit in Korean animation history.
It is a story of stray dogs that set out in search of freedom and identity. By cutting about 10 minutes from the initial version first released in 2019 and upgrading the image quality to 4K, it seeks re-evaluation from the market and audiences.
